We’re back in Spain now, working on the house. The past week has been a continuous stream of sand, paint, finish, sand, paint, finish, as we’re started the interior decorating. Nothing too fancy - just plain white inside, de rigueur for a Mediterranean house. So far we’ve managed to complete two upstairs bedrooms, and the main ensuite and the family bathroom. Its taking a very long time.

 We’ve been fortunate to be joined for a few days by Stacey (Jax’s friend form Bristol) and Dave (my friend from Brighton) who have been a great help. The work rate has been great with four people working on it. Stacey went home yesterday and Dave is off tomorrow.  We’re very grateful for their help and time and hope they both can come out and enjoy the place when it’s complete.

Yesterday we went for a bike ride with Dave down the hill to Alora and back. Downhill was great, but the uphill was very steep and very tiring, Dave went out again today down the other side of the hills and had a huge climb back up to the house – so much so that he’s now collapsed exhausted and gone to bed.
